Light therapy

Today I want to give you my warmest wishes of a Happy New Year for everyone with a collage of photos from a walk along the river that I did yesterday.

We don't have many hours with daylight at this time of the year, but that makes it more important to get out

and now when we have got more snow the landscape gives the light we all need. I know that there are patients  with psychiatric  disorders who get light therapy, but what can be better than walking around in a nature with snow everywhere. Of course, I know that it isn't possible for everyone, but for us who live in this chilly part of the world it's a blessing that we should appreciate much more.

Was out today on my skis for the first time this winter and I loved it, if you want to see photos from that you can jump over to my Swedish blog where I wrote about the trip.

Happy New Year to you, Ella! You live in such a picturesque place. So glad to hear you had a chance to get on your skis and enjoy the outdoors. I went for a walk this morning to try to burn off the many calories consumed over the holidays. It was extremely windy, but it was nice to be outdoors. :)

Ella,
Happy New Year! Thank you for your kind comments today on my blog. I do try to write about different things. I like a little variety.

I loved your post today. I look forward to visiting again.

Are you in Sweden now?

Oh, Ella, this looks SO magical!! Especially in contrast to what we are experiencing here in Arizona. Today it went from 27 to 82 degrees in just a few hours. It's really beautiful with magical winter light, but the snow definitely has a beauty all its own. I do miss that..... Happiest of new years to you, sweet Ella!!!

thank you Ella, for the snow! I'm still awaiting our first snowfall. your photos are beautiful and peaceful. I just watched the American version of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, and it was filled with snowy landscapes. I also saw the Swedish version, and tonight will watch The Girl Who Played with Fire. I loved those books and the movies as well. I know there is quite the violent scenes, but there is also goodness in the hearts of the main characters. I was surprised at how many of the audience members were elderly - and the theatre was filled. wishing you all the best in this brand new year Ella. hugs to you my friend.
