The first photo

The first photo

The photo above is very special to me in many ways. This wonderful young couple has just given their camera to the daughter and now they're waiting for her to hopefully manage to take her first photo. After that they probably waited some weeks to induce the photos like they did back then. But when  they finally saw it, they smiled and showed their four years daughter what a great job she had done. She had managed to catch them both!

This was in the late sixties and very much has happened since that summer day, both more children and grandchildren has enriched their lives.

But if we go back to the little girl who always has loved to take photos of family and friends. She also found out that there is so much beautiful to catch in the nature. She bought a mobile phone with a good camera because than she always had it with her. But sometimes she felt that she would like to take more advanced photos. I think she was influenced by her blog friends who are very good photographers. Finally she decided to put some savings on "real" camera and now she's trying to learn more about her new investment.

Hi Becky thanks for your comment about my hair, I like it too but I hope everybody understands that I'm making a travesty of myself with that selfie , those who knows me know it. I remember that the first blogs I ever saw was those with fourteen years old girls showing their outfit with a camera in the hand in front of a mirror. I'm much more impressed of your imaginative selfies in many of your "reflection" photos.

Learning how to use the new camera is just about as much fun as the great pics you will be taking.

Oh, I love the photo of your parents - to think you were only 4 when you took it! How wonderful that you have a new camera - I'm sure you'll enjoy it so much. Looking forward to more of your photography in the year to come. :)

Your parents look very pleased! AND...your self photo is very good. I would love to purchase a GOOD camera! I worry that I would NOT take good pictures EVEN if I had a good camera! :)

Ella, I guess I missed this story. I LOVE it!! YEA for the new camera!! In the end, though, it's more about the image, the light and the photographer than the camera itself. Lots of people have said to me, "Nice photo - you must have a really good camera." I smile politely and thank them but I secretly feel it's kind of an insult because there is a lot more to a good photo than the camera!!
You already have a lot of practice, though, so I know your images will be amazing!!
