The beauty off darkness

The period with our light nights are over for this summer and it's getting darker now in the evenings. Last week we spent some hours in the forest by a little lake. It was a wonderful evening together with my family, with hamburgers on the grill, a fire to warm up and a sky that shifted colors through the night.

I could enjoy light nights for a period, but the dark days in the winter would get me I think. Beautful sunrise/sunset? photo.

these photos are fantastic Ella! What a divine evening that must have been, to take it all in right before your eyes, all that beauty. it's magical. I can see a difference in our daylight now, as the days are getting shorter, the light not as brilliant as during high summer. I believe "the worm has turned". We look now towards autumn.
happy week to you Ella.
