There's a wedding today in Stockholm as the Princess Madeleine of Sweden and the New York banker Christopher O'Neil have married. It was very beautiful wedding and the her dress was created by the Italian designer Valentino Garvani. As he was occupied making that dress, we had to "create" my daughters dress for the prom by our selves...
I have had a photo with the fabrics on the blog and wrote a few lines. Some of you asked me to show it when it's ready so now I proudly present the finished project which was a team-work with me, my daughter and my sister.
My daughter wanted this adventure to be something very special, but not too expensive, so I made the hairstyle and she put on makeup. She was very pleased and enjoyed the whole evening.
I was very touched when they got to the event as she also wanted her brother (who loves old American cars!) to sit beside the owner of the car.

oh Ella, your daughter is very beautiful, and so too the dress you've sewn for her special occasion. You managed an excellent job, something to be very proud of, but the most proud of your daughter and what a wonderful young woman she has become. She had an amazing car to ride in too! thanks for showing the finished dress and the special day. happy weekend to you Ella.
Oh, how lovely, Ella - it's a true work of art (not to mention LOVE!)What a wonderful milestone for your beautiful daughter. My husband also loves the old cars - especially Chevrolets.... his favorite is the 1959. He says this one is a 1960 (close!)
SO LOVELY...her hair, make up, gown - OH SO pretty!
Looking good! I like old American cars too. My first car was a 61 Chevy.
